An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Engineer for one of our clients based in London.
The objectives of this department are to provide Clients with a best-in-class customer experience through consistently high-quality service, resolutions and communications, supported by unparalleled technical know-how.
The role of the IT Engineer’s primary function is to provide an experienced on-site technical support capability to Bluecube’s client base in London. It involves assisting with troubleshooting / implementation of break/fix remedial work for hardware/software related issues or the delivery of predefined project work on premises. This role acts as a main point of contact for many of our clients and will be the Organisation’s eyes and ears and bring up any potential problems or opportunities to the Technical Delivery or Client Engagement Management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending customer premises to perform various tasks which will include troubleshooting hardware or software faults across desktop, network/Wifi (Firewall, Switch, Router, AP’s), server, UPS, UC & video conference solutions
- Perform software builds/rebuilds on PCs and laptops as required
- Carrying out predefined project work, ad-hoc requests, etc
- Building customer relationships to ensure that the Engineer/Client relationship is trusted and strong
- Logging detailed and accurate information into the Call Management system
- Accountability for your personal call queue, ensuring that all calls are updated and closed in a timely fashion
- Keeping the office informed of daily activity, particularly with arrival/departure times for each site visit
- Communicating with clients to keep them updated on the progression of their issue and ensuring that customer satisfaction remains high
- Additional duties and travel as directed by the Management team
Essential Qualities:
- Experience in a similar role

- Strong Desktop support knowledge
- Strong understanding of Office 365 and Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy etc
Desirable:
- Experience supporting Apple Mac systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server to support level
- Experience of virtualised Microsoft environments
- Experience with Egnyte for file storage
- Experience with O365 Backups
- Microsoft Terminal Services/RDP to support level
